Freshwater (coarse fishing): All year except during the closed season (15 March – 15 June) on some rivers.
Sea fishing: Year-round, with species changing by season. Summer is great for bass and mackerel, winter for cod and whiting.
Visit your local tackle shop, or check out trusted online retailers like Angling Direct, GO Outdoors, or Decathlon UK. Ask for starter kits—they’re often great value.
